Privacy Policy

Draft — not yet legal advice. This document is a working draft pending review by counsel and is not final or binding until published with a real effective date.

[LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”) operates arbidle. This policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, and your choices. [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is the data controller; contact support@arbidle.com.

What the extension does NOT read

By design, the extension never reads your source code, terminal output, file contents, environment variables, git history, clipboard, or agent logs. Wait states are detected only from the editor's Shell Integration command signals. An extension that can't read your workspace can't leak it — that is the core of the product, not just a policy.

What we collect

  • Exchange signals: the launched command line, your active language, an anonymous rotating client id, and a one-way hash of your workspace folder name (never the path) — used to match ads and attribute earnings.
  • Account identity: if you sign in to a portal, your Google account email (via Google OAuth) to authenticate you.
  • Payout & billing data: handled by our processors (Stripe, PayPal, Wise) — including bank/KYC and tax details you provide to them. We store only a destination reference (e.g. a PayPal email or recipient id), not full bank credentials.
  • Analytics: privacy-preserving usage analytics (Vercel Analytics) and server logs containing coarse technical metadata (e.g. IP for rate limiting), never your workspace contents.

How we use it

To run the exchange (match and serve ads, verify impressions, prevent fraud), calculate and pay earnings, bill advertisers, provide support, and meet legal/tax obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

Service providers acting on our behalf: payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Wise), auth (Google), hosting/analytics (Vercel), and database/cache providers. We may disclose data where required by law. Advertisers receive only aggregate, attested delivery signals — never your identity or workspace contents.

Cookies & analytics

We use strictly-necessary cookies for authenticated sessions and privacy-preserving analytics. Where required, we will present a consent choice for non-essential analytics.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, email support@arbidle.com. You may also disable the extension per workspace at any time.

Retention & security

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. tax/financial records). We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data; no method is perfectly secure.

International transfers & changes

Data may be processed in [JURISDICTION] and other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards. We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
